During 2011 there were many varied day trips, a visit to to the Millstones at Harrogate where there was a lovely meal followed by wartime tributes, for many of our members it brought back memories as they sang along to the wartime songs and waved their Union Jack flags.

Chester was also another trip to the Mill Hotel boarding a boat and sailing down the canal whllst on the journey a 4 course meal was served and the opportunity to partake of alcoholic beverages, fruit jucies or tea and coffee.

Haydock was a day at the races, starting at the Bay Horse public house for lunch, whilst waiting to be served there was the opportunity to choose the winners!! Then onto the race track so that everyone could place their bets and wait patiently for the races to start. Some of our members came away having a good day for others well lets not talk about backing all the donkeys, nevermind the weather was good.

Rivington Barn included a Christmas meal, the food was excellent the staff were very helpful and friendly, after the meal there was entertainment then before leaving an opportunity to have a treat from the chocalate fountain, marshmallows ,fresh fruit all dipped in chocalate, who cares about calories?
