Mini Bus Appeal
Galloway’s Society for the Blind celebrates its 150th Birthday this year. As a charity, we are proud of our history of supporting those living with sight loss, starting from our roots in Preston, to now covering the Lancashire and Sefton.
Transport is a crucial issue for those who are blind or partially sighted. Being able and feeling confident to leave the house, to socialise with others, to keep fit and active, and to minimise the chances of isolation and loneliness, are all factors those living with sight loss face on a daily basis.
Many of Galloway’s services are aligned to these factors. But our ability to provide transport for people, where no other alternative is available, is critical to our ability to help them live a life as free from the constraints of their sight loss as possible. Our two existing minibuses are both more than 10 years old. They have served us well, but they are well past their best and are starting to become unreliable.
Please help us raise enough money to purchase a new one, so that we can reliably continue to support people living with sight loss in your area! This campaign is being supported by our great friends at the Lancashire Post. Please give what you can to help us!
