Let’s get active!
We firmly believe that sight loss should be no barrier to enjoying the same social and leisure opportunities of sighted people.
Throughout the year we offer numerous sports, social and leisure opportunities for blind and partially sighted people throughout Lancashire and Sefton. Many of these are operated by us but others are run by independent groups of visually impaired people with support from Galloway’s. For more information on all our current activities please contact James Coulton via the details below.
Twice a year a group of our intrepid service users visit Waterpark in the Lake District. Have a look at the video below for a taste of what they will be doing. If you would like to take part in our residential or for more information please contact James on 01772 744148 and we can chat about how to make the course accessible to you. The dates of this year’s residential are 3 April – 6 April 2018 and 13 August to 17 August 2018
Our popular driving experience days for people living with sight loss are once again back at Three Sisters race track in Wigan These fantastic days give those living with sight loss the chance to drive a car under instruction around a race track, take a passenger ride in a classic sports car and various Porsches, thanks to our wonderful supporters who give their time and valuable vehicles to make this day so special. For a taste of our driving experience days please view the video below
We offer a varied programme of events through out the year which includes guided walks, indoor climbing, Archery, Acoustic Shooting, and water sports. To find out whats happening and when please visit our What’s on section here
