Bus Hailers
Catching a bus in Lancashire is now much easier following the launch of the new 'Bus Hailer'.People can use the special hailer, an A5-sized flip pad, to help flag down the right bus. Galloway’s have worked closely with Lancashire County Council to design the new Bus Hailer. It consists of three rows of bold and embossed numbers, each from 0 – 9, and various letters with the Braille version underneath. People simply select the number of their desired bus and then hold up the bus hailer to oncoming traffic so that the relevant bus driver knows to stop. The black numbers and letters are on a fluorescent background so they can be easily spotted by bus drivers from a distance. Bus hailers come with a clear plastic protective wallet so that they can be used in all weathers, and have instructions in Braille and text instructions. The Bus Hailer is free of charge – simply give us a call if you would like one.
