Galloway's Society for the Blind is a registered charity and relies entirely on voluntary donations to support visually impaired people encouraging independence and minimizing the effects of sight loss. There are hundreds of ways in which you can help us to raise funds to carry out this vital work, some of which are listed on this page.

Making a Donation
All donations, whether large or small, are always welcome. (Did you know that Gift Aid enables us to increase the value of your donation by nearly a third by allowing the charity to reclaim the tax on your gift. This costs you nothing!) To make a donation, simply post your donation to: Galloway's Society for the Blind, Howick House, Howick Park Avenue, Penwortham, Preston, Lancashire PR1 0LS. Cheques should be made payable to Galloway's. THANK YOU.

Schools
Many local schools have adopted Galloway's as their charity for the school year. In return for this generous support, we can provide Blind Awareness Training during assembly or classes, which fits in with the National Curriculum Key stage 1.

Charitable Foundations and Trusts
We make regular appeals to trusts and foundations of varying sizes, which is becoming a vital source of our income as well as individual donations.

Companies
Many companies, both local and national, have helped Galloway's and their work with visually impaired people. That support may not have been through a donation; it may have been through sponsorship, participating in an event, matching employees fundraising £1-for-£1, or through Payroll giving. If your company wants to get involved, please do get in touch.

Home Money Boxes
Have you ever wondered if there was a better use for all that irritating loose change? If so, why not join our many supporters by having a home collecting box in your house.

Legacies
Legacies, whether large or small, remain a vital source of income. Making your Will could not be simpler and is a quick and inexpensive procedure. If you would like further information about leaving a gift in your Will and helping us to ensure that our work is continued long into the future, please contact us.

Gifts in-lieu of Flowers
Be it a birthday, Christmas or a funeral, many of our supporters choose to ask family and friends to send donations to us rather than flowers. By doing this, our supporters know that they are making a lasting difference to someone's life.
