A Brighter Future!

2016 will see the opening of our brand new £1.2 million state of the art centre that will serve the whole of North Lancashire and be a Hub for our services as well as providing opportunities to develop our relationship with the local community.

Demolition work on the former Visitor office in the heart of Morecambe is well under way. Bulldozers have moved in to knock down most of the former home of the town’s newspaper to convert the building into a centre of excellence for visually impaired people

The new facility on Victoria Street will include an ‘Ideas Store’ displaying state-of-the-art resources to help visually impaired people in every day living, including a mock-up kitchen and living rooms. It will also include a social enterprise café offering training and work placement opportunities for blind and partially sighted people. The centre will also house a recording studio, letable office and meeting spaces, rooms for social and creative activities, and much more. Keep checking back for more updates on how things are progressing!
