Great North Run 2007 Photos

Many thanks to all the runners who took part in the 2007 BUPA Great North Run on our behalf. Our photographs show those of our runners who, after more than 13 miles, were able to find our appeals Manager, George Turner.

Well done to everyone and if you are thinking about entering next year’s run, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can do our best to secure a place for you.

If you took part in the race for Galloway's and have a photograph that we can use (i.e.not copyrighted) please email it to George on george.turner@galloways.org.uk and we shall tell the world how wonderful you are.

To the best of our knowledge, Steve Twinn, who is a fireman and live in Hyde, was the first of our runners to cross the line in a time of 1 hour 44minutes.

John Roe is one of our stalwart runners and managed to complete the course with a drinks pack strapped to his back. What was in there, John?

Gary Jones left his running shorts at home and had to race in a pair of cut down tracksuit bottoms. To spare your blushes, Gary, we are not showing the full length photograph!

Proudly wearing her finisher’s medal is Laura Doyle. It was her first Great North Run, but will it be her last. The smart money says 'No'
