we want to make sure that everyone has access to the written word. That’s why we offer a service to transcribe printed material into an alternative format such as Braille or Audio.
Our Braille is transcribed into the Unified English Braille format, and our Audio can either be via synthetic speech as used by some text to speech software or by a human reader. Our audio transcription can be on CD or USB pen drive. Organisations that have benefitted from our Audio and Braille transcription services include Lancashire County Council, Lancashire Police, The NHS, Progress Housing and Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association. Our service has been used to transcribe newsletters, appointment letters, council tax bills and many other types of text. If you would like more information on our transcription service please get in touch by calling 01772 744148 or fill in the form below.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to supply and post the USB talking news service but you can listen to our publications via our new Alexa skill, via the links below and through the British Wireless for the Blind app. We are currently recording the Lancashire Post, Chorley and Leyland Guardian, Lancaster and Morecambe Visitor and The Ormskirk Advertiser.
