AGM & Conference 2019

Our conference theme this year was 'Journey’s Through Sight Loss' and explored how independent travel can empower people living with sight loss. Whether by an overseas trip to an exotic location or simply a trip to the shops using public transport our aim was to to focus on the confidence that independent travel can bring. We had two fantastic speakers - The travel writer Tony Giles, and disability rights activist and motivational speaker Dr Amit Patel (see below) as well as a range of demonstration stalls to show our attendees some of the fantastic tools and equipment to help keep them independent through their own sight loss journeys. We can't wait for our 2020 conference and would love to see you there - keep checking our social media and website for details - in the meantime here's a short video of the day
