My name is Miss Leanne Malseed, I have been qualified for thirteen years and joined Birchall Blackburn Law shortly after qualification. I work from the Southport office which is located in Churchtown with parking on a private car park right outside our office. I am STEP qualified (the professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning), WIQS accredited (best practice quality mark for wills and estate administration advice ) and I am a Dementia Friend.
My name is Rosemary Johns and I qualified as a solicitor in April 2004, so have been practising for almost 16 years, however I have worked in a legal environment for around 20 years as my father was a solicitor and I used to work at his firm, helping out on reception, and then moved on to be a legal secretary after university, which is when I decided to qualify as a solicitor. I went to the University of Sheffield after completing my A-Levels and obtained a 2:1 in English Language and Linguistics.
I have worked for Birchall Blackburn Law as a solicitor since September 2011 and have always been based at their Chorley office. Before joining Birchall Blackburn I worked for two large firms in Manchester.
However, in 1998 I also worked at the firm’s Preston office as a legal secretary for a short period prior to embarking upon my legal studies at the University of Central Lancashire.
I am a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and Solicitors for the Elderly. I am also an Associate Member of ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitors). The firm also holds the WIQS accreditation (Wills & Inheritance Quality Scheme).
I am keen to support members of the community with visual impairments as I imagine that it must feel very daunting to visit a solicitor as a visually impaired individual and I would like to be able to make the experience as comfortable and relaxed as possible, and dispel any worried a person may have by talking through the issues and answering any queries without any pressure and in a relaxed environment.

Birchall Blackburn - Morecambe
I am Kristina Smith. I joined Birchall Blackburn in 2002 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2011. I went on to be appointed a Partner in 2015. My areas of expertise include elderly client work, wills and probate, Court of Protection matters, and lasting powers of attorney.
My personal accreditations include Solicitors for the Elderly (professional member) and STEP full member, Dementia Champion and as a firm we are WIQS accredited.
I was given the opportunity to complete a summer placement at Birchall Blackburn in 2002. This experience gave me flavour of the legal profession and I returned to the firm each of my school term breaks to assist the Private Client team. I completed my law degree and LPC before training with Birchall Blackburn and joining the firm as a full-time Solicitor after qualification.
We are a local firm in the heart of the community and have supported Galloway's for a number of years.
