Blind veteran Bob Woof wins big in Galloway's charity lottery!

Galloway's celebrates our first jackpot winner!

We are thrilled to share some fantastic news. Bob Woof, an 82-year-old blind veteran and a proud supporter of Galloway's, has hit the jackpot in our charity lottery! Yes, you heard it right...Bob matched all six digits in the correct sequence and walked away with an incredible £25,000 prize, making him our first-ever jackpot winner!

As someone who lost his sight at 62, Bob knows firsthand the challenges of adjusting to life without vision. Galloway's has been there for him, providing invaluable support that has allowed him to maintain his confidence and independence and live life to the fullest.

When Bob got the news of his fantastic win, he was over the moon! He couldn't believe his luck...

"I am over the moon! I couldn't believe it when I heard I had won the top prize. I plan to treat my family and grandchildren with the money – it's going to make a huge difference to us all. I'm so grateful to Galloway's, they have been a huge support to me over the years, and I'm pleased to be able to give something back to them."

Iain Pearson, Galloway’s CEO, added: “It is thanks to our dedicated supporters like Bob that we can continue providing vital services for blind and partially sighted people.

“Bob's win is a fantastic example of how the lottery can make a real difference to people's lives and we are so pleased for him. We hope that his success will encourage even more people to sign up and take part in the lottery, maybe even becoming our next big winner!”

Our Galloway's lottery is a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of local individuals affected by sight loss. With a minimum entry fee of just £1 per week, participants can win cash prizes by matching three, four, five, or all six digits in the correct sequence.
