We are still here for you

UPDATED - April 12th. The nation is continuing to follow the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown. We are now in step two, with more restrictions being eased. This began on April 12th. The next stage of the Government's roadmap is scheduled to be from May 17th.

As we continue to follow Government guidelines and monitor any changes, we are currently planning our own roadmap to re-introduce face to face activity when the time is right and when it is safe to do so.

Our emphasis has to be on making sure that visually impaired people, volunteers, supporters and our staff are safe, which is why there is much work to be done.

Please be assured that once we are ready and it is safe to do so, we will let you all know.

As restrictions have eased, we are now offering a limited walking group, to enable you to regain confidence following lockdown.

These walks will be in one of four areas; Preston, Chorley, Morecambe and Southport and will be limited to four people per session to comply with COVID regulations. These will be Monday April 12th, 19th, 26th and May 10th.

Bookings will only be taken by contacting us on 01772 744148 and will be on a first come first served basis.

As always, your welfare is our priority and we will still continue our support, via telephone calls, group telephone activities and online Zoom sessions. If you require further support please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Our vital ECLO service at Preston, Chorley and Lancaster hospitals will continue, pending further guidance from Lancashire Teaching Hospitals and the Morecambe Bay Trust.

Our Brew Me Sunshine cafe in Morecambe remains closed for now but are are aiming to reopen in line with the Government's date of allowing indoor hospitality to resume on May 17th. We understand how valued the cafe is within our community and we truly appreciate your support. We look forward to seeing you when we can.

We understand this may be a worrying time for some, but we want you to know that we are still here for you.

You can call our Penwortham head office on 01772 744148 and you will be put through to one of our sight loss advisors.

You can also contact us online through our Facebook pages and groups.
