A big thank you to Morecambe Business Improvement District (BID), who awarded us £1,000.
Nicola Hanna, Head of Income Generation and Communications, at Galloway's, said: “We are thrilled with this donation, which will help continue our vital services for people with sight loss.
“We work really closely with the Morecambe BID and are looking forward to continue that relationship.”
John O'Neill, Manager of the Morecambe BID, said: "Sight loss charity Galloway’s plays an important role in our local community and we are proud to support them. We tend to support local charities as we know the money will be spent locally where it is needed. Galloway’s is an important member of the Morecambe Business District and we will continue to support them whenever we can."
The money was raised via several big events organised by Morecambe BID over Christmas and January, including the Morecambe Sparkle Switch-On, a mini Morecambe Music Festival, an Evening With Eden at The Platform and a set by Craig Charles at Winter Gardens. Morecambe BID raised £4,000 overall, donating £1,000 each to Galloway's, Morecambe Bay Food Bank, Morecambe Winter Gardens Trust and Escape2Make (E2M).
