On 1st March 2022, Galloway's Society for the Blind welcomed new CEO Iain Pearson.
This exciting appointment comes at a crucial milestone in our history. Galloway's is embarking on a new strategy intended to reach more people affected by sight loss within the community. As the region's largest sight loss charity, we aim to deliver the best possible outcomes for those supported by Galloway's.
Iain says, "Having worked in Lancashire for many years, I'm aware of the great legacy of Galloway's in providing support through sight loss and I very much look forward to building a superb future for the charity, its beneficiaries and for everyone involved with the organisation. It's a privilege to be the new CEO at Galloway's, a charity that puts people at the very heart of its endeavours and one with such a fine reputation within Lancashire and the North West."
Iain Pearson brings a wealth of experience to Galloway's from previous roles within the Public and Third Sectors and latterly as Executive Director of Business Development at Age Concern Central Lancashire, a post he held for over 10 years.
Simon Booth, Chair of Trustees at Galloway's said, "I'm really looking forward to working with Iain to drive forward the incredible work Galloway's is already doing to support people living with sight loss. We have big plans over the coming years and Iain's expertise will be vital in making our plans a reality."
