Families are invited to attend a festive concert in Penwortham next month.

The Friends of All Hallows Community Choir will host its Christmas Concert at St Teresa’s Parish Centre, in Penwortham, on Monday, December 6th at 7.30pm.

As well as a selection of festive favourites to sing along to, there will be a raffle, mince pies and mulled wine.

Tickets are £6.50 for adults and £3.50 for children under 16, with money raised going to Preston South Rotary Club and sight loss charity Galloway’s.

Geoff Todhunter, from Preston South Rotary Club, said: “Preston South Rotary Club is a vibrant, active and fun-loving local club, meeting on a regular basis at Penwortham Golf Club. Over our 50 years of existence, we have raised over £500,000 for the benefit of local, national and international charities.

“We are really excited about this event and delighted to establish a new relationship with Galloway’s. It is a fantastic charity which provides much needed support to people living with sight loss across Lancashire and Sefton and is located in the heart of the community here in Penwortham.

“Our focus in the coming years is to continue building on our relationship with the local community, businesses and charities.

“So, join us for an evening of live music, mulled wine and mince pies to get you in the Christmas spirit.”

Charlotte Carnell, Events Coordinator at Galloway’s, which is based in Howick, Penwortham, said: “It really means a lot to us for the local community to get behind us and so we are thrilled The Friends of All Hallows Community Choir and the Preston South Rotary Club are organising this event and choosing to support us.

“We are sure it is going to be a really fun night, with plenty of festive cheer.”
