Stroll along the sands and support sight Loss…

Galloway’s, a local charity dedicated to supporting people with sight loss across Lancashire and Sefton, is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated Morecambe Bay Walk for 2024!

This annual event holds significant importance in our fundraising calendar, offering participants a fantastic experience amidst the beauty of Morecambe Bay. Taking place on the 19th of May, this walk provides a unique opportunity for individuals to immerse themselves in nature while supporting a crucial cause.

Priced at £15 per person, the walk will begin against the picturesque backdrop of Morecambe Bay. With each step, participants will enjoy the great views and contribute to supporting local people living with sight loss.

Michelle Hawley, Events Coordinator at Galloways, said: "Join us on this wonderful walk to make a difference in the lives of those facing sight loss. Your steps matter; let's walk together and step up for sight loss.

While the walk traces its roots back to the era of Henry VIII, originally spanning from Hest Bank to Kents Bank, the current route is from Arnside to Grange due to the challenges posed by soft sand at Hest Bank. The walk from Arnside offers a delightful experience with varied terrain, covering a distance of 5.5 to 7.5 miles, depending on the safest route.
